Our Courtroom Opera series reimagines opera scenes and arias for unexpected civic spaces — from council chambers to real courtrooms — putting passion, justice, and human conflict centre stage.
Each performance is tailored to its space, with singers and audiences sharing the same floor. The result is opera at its most exposed and visceral: no distance, no fourth wall, just voices, stories, and space.

Voices Unbound July 2025
Opera for everyone, sung by everyone.
In summer 2025, we launched Voices Unbound, a community-powered opera project staged on the windswept ramparts of Portland’s High Angle Battery. Over seven weeks, local residents of all ages rehearsed with professional singers and the Dorset String Quartet to bring opera choruses to life — culminating in a performance that celebrated collective sound and shared joy.
This wasn’t a concert. It was a movement.
